Here's What You Missed At NACS 2011 - GSP

The NACS Show 2011 was held at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois, October 1–4th. The conference attracted over 21,000 representatives from the global convenience and petroleum retailing industry, and GSP was one of 1,200+ companies to exhibit. The NACS Show is the #1 buying show in the country according to Exhibit Surveys, Inc. and provides the most comprehensive representation of products and services for the c-store industry.

GSP showcased the latest version of their proprietary site survey management software GSPSurveyor™ including the new smartphone application GSPSurveyor™ Mobile. This new version of GSPSurveyor™ Mobile is a major breakthrough for retailers and will be available across multiple smartphone platforms – Apple iOS, Blackberry, Android and Windows 7. The large iphone used to present the new app was a huge hit.

The app has two main modules: Profile and Capture. The profile module enables retailers to upload new photos and edit site profiles on their smartphones – ensuring that every site profile is always accurate. The capture module allows you to turn field observations and photos into credible intelligence and instant action plans.

The latest version of the GSPSurveyor™ software platform features a new and improved user-friendly web interface and a revamped survey tool that has similar functionality as Zoomerang™ or SurveyMonkey™. This new survey feature will allow retailers to create and perform various site specific surveys directly to field personnel, simplifying the survey process.

GSP also featured new industrial design elements that help retailers enhance the overall presentation of the retailer’s brand, and drive traffic to key foodservice or other specific areas at the store location.

In addition, GSP held a contest for an Extreme POP Makeover at the end of the NACS Show on October 4th. The makeover includes new creative and re-imaging for all food service, fountain and coffee POP signage and will be showcased at a retail store of choice. The winner has not been selected yet, but GSP will pick the retailer based on the potential for biggest impact in sales and who needs the most help in their stores. Stay tuned for more info!
