A Behind the Scenes Look at the Art of Food Photography

Food images in today’s advertisements and packaging are glamourized versions of the actual product. Professional food photography is truly an art and a collaborative effort, usually involving an art director, a photographer, a food stylist, a prop stylist and their assistants.

The goal of food photography is to help create the consumer expectation for the product, and that requires the best possible image available. Beautifully shot food images will whet the customers’ appetite and entice them to buy or try something new.

A Shipping Container Turned Modern Street Food Vendor with Gourmet Flair

Snack Box, a Store Design winner at the NRF show in January, is innovative pop-up architecture design at its best. Recently re-located to Broadway between 45th and 46th Street in New York, SnackBox debuted in Times Square October 2011.

Designed by aedifica and muvbox, SnackBox is artfully constructed out of a 200 sq feet recycled shipping container with bold black and white graphics. The compact structure ideally fits into the limited space constraints of the pedestrian-only traffic areas, yet stands out amidst the visually saturated area of New York’s Times Square and Broadway districts... Industrial Design Spotlight: Versatile Frameless Sign Display

Modular System for Multiple Applications

GSP's versatile frameless sign display is composed of 2-4 3mm Sintra or equivalent flexible poster material attached to a steel wire frame construction.

It can be mounted to a wall, counter or gondola, hung from the ceiling or utilized as a freestanding floor stand with optional baskets or shelves.
