Clearwater, FL - March 5, 2009 – GSP Marketing Technologies, the leader in strategic marketing at the point of purchase, announced that Kroger has awarded GSP another three year contract to provide POP to Kroger’s five convenience store divisions: Quik Stop, Loaf n’ Jug, Kwik Shop, Turkey Hill and Tom Thumb.
GSP had already handled the account for the four previous years and had established that they were capable of handling the key points that Kroger valued: innovative design, shorter turn times and high quality. Focus during the bidding phase was placed on price, quality of work and overall capability of handling Kroger’s needs for the next three years.
The Kroger Co. spans many states with store formats that include grocery and multi-department stores, convenience stores and mall jewelry stores. The Kroger Co. currently operates 771 convenience stores in 16 states, under five banners: Quik Stop, Loaf n’ Jug, Kwik Shop, Turkey Hill and Tom Thumb. The stores offer a limited selection of Kroger private-label products, and some stores are served by Kroger distribution centers. Kroger also operates 41 food processing or manufacturing facilities producing high quality private-label products that provide value for customers and enhanced margins for Kroger.
