Clearwater, FL, November 20, 2012 – GSP, a leading provider of retail services, announced today a major expansion of its digital production capacity. The company added two new VUTEk GS3250 wide-format digital presses with true greyscale technology, one at each GSP Operations facilities, for higher image quality and increased overall production capacity.
"Combined with the industry leading production level speeds of the GS platform and unprecedented color accuracy and consistency, the new true greyscale technology will enable us to meet our customers’ demands for even higher photorealistic image quality, more accurate PMS color matching and absolute consistency. These new presses will enable us to take on more color critical jobs and reproduce them faster and more accurately,” said Elaine Scrima, GSP’s Director of Operations. “We estimate these new presses will enable us to produce an additional 1400 square feet an hour between the two GSP Operations facilities.”
The VUTEk GS3250, a flatbed and roll-to-roll UV press, can print on an extended range of substrates and offers advanced three-layer capabilities for high impact point-of-purchase (POP) and foodservice graphics. It is equipped with 1000 dpi for high-precision quality and 12-picoliter droplet technology for all colors, including white. The new VUTEk GS3250 offers true greyscale head technology with 0-36pL drop sizes for extraordinary image quality, more accurate color matching and increased flexibility.
GSP’s new digital presses will expand GSP’s capacity for higher run counts and improve overall quality as part of the continued investment in being a G7® Master Printer. G7® is a method for calibrating imaging devices to ensure consistency across multiple production runs, providing the highest quality POP regardless of print method or production facility.
