Clearwater, FL, June 29, 2012 – GSP, a leading provider of retail services, announced today a major expansion of its digital production capacity. The company added the Vutek GS3250, a wide format flatbed digital press, to its GSP Utah Operations facility.
"The investment is our 11th flatbed digital press, and with the existing four high-speed roll to roll printers, brings our total number of digital presses to 15,” said Elaine Scrima, GSP’s Director of Operations. “The Vutek not only produces superior photorealistic image quality, crisp text and accurate color matching but also delivers high production speeds to meet tight deadlines and our increasing production volumes. The Vutek GS3250, a flatbed and roll-to-roll UV press, can print on an extended range of substrates and offers advanced three-layer capabilities for high impact point-of-purchase (POP) and foodservice graphics.
It is equipped with 1000 dpi for high-precision quality and 12-picoliter droplet technology for all colors, including white.
GSP’s new digital press will expand GSP’s capacity for higher run counts and improve overall quality as part of the continued investment in G7® Master Printer Qualification. GSP is one of approximately 20 printers in the U.S. to achieve the G7® Master Printer Qualification from IDEAlliance in both digital and screen-printing methods. G7® is a method for calibrating imaging devices to ensure consistency across multiple production runs for the highest quality POP regardless of print method or production facility.
